Faith Formation

At SJS Faith is the cornerstone of our school. All of our action and interactions are guided by our faith. When you walk down the halls you will see and feel the SJS difference. Students are the liturgy leaders at the school liturgies. There are weekly visits by the parish priests. And our thorough religion curriculum ensures a solid foundation built on Catholic values.

“I wouldn’t be the person I am today without Catholic education! It has been an important part of my life since I was a little girl. I received an outstanding, faith-filled education from kindergarten through 12th grade, and I will be forever thankful for the sacrifices my parents made in order to provide me such a wonderful opportunity. By answering God’s call to teach at a Catholic school, I have the unique opportunity to inspire young children to grow in their own faith each and every day. Helping my students deepen their relationship with God through sacrament preparation is so rewarding! As a parent and teacher at St. James/Seton, I am beyond blessed to experience this loving, faith-focused community with my own children and my students. “

—  Mrs. Melissa Sullivan,  2nd Grade Teacher
“I love teaching in a Catholic school because our priority is the education of the whole child, not just academically but spiritually also. When the focus is on following Christ, we have the opportunity to have a hand in creating the future leaders of our World and our Church.”

—  Ms. Shelley Brown,  Grades 5/6
“I thoroughly enjoy teaching at Saint James/Seton Catholic School. At SJS, I am able to get to know the students on a personal level, while also helping them grow spiritually and academically. One of the greatest parts of a Catholic education is the foundation of faith that we are able to instill in each and every student. It truly is a blessing to teach in a school that prioritizes faith, family, and a successful future for our students.”
