Halloween Treats
Home and School will be providing Rice Krispie Treats to students for Halloween this year. There will also be a Gluten-Free Rice Krispie option. If you want your child to abstain from this snack, please let their teacher know before Halloween.
Halloween Parade for PS-3 will be held on Halloween at approximately 2:45. The parade will begin in school and make its way for parents around the courtyard between school and church. All are welcome.
Halloween out of uniform day. Students may wear Halloween themed shirts or orange/black shirts with jeans, sweatpants/windpants or uniform shorts. The only shorts allowed are uniform shorts. Just a reminder this is the last day students may wear uniform shorts. We ask that costumes and/or Halloween themed shirts are not bloody or violent. We don’t want to scare our youngest students.
SOAR We are in GREAT need of gift card donations for our Eagle Nest. Gift cards can be of any denomination!
Box Top Monday, October 28th is box top collection date. Please turn in so we can get them turned in. We will keep you notified of the next turn in date.
Inclement Weather Notification Update The area public school districts are planning on making a “late start” option this winter for severe weather conditions. The Archdiocese of Omaha Catholic Schools will also make “late start” a possibility if the conditions are right. This option will be in addition to the full day cancellation of school for weather. A full cancellation can be called after a late start has been announced. Lunch will still be served at a later time in the day on a late start. It’s always best to check the local media outlets for school cancellations or late start information, and look for Omaha Catholic Schools. Parents should always do what they feel is in the best interest of their students when it comes to winter weather travel. In the event of a late start morning KidsCare will not be available. |
