Parents, we are in the midst of planning our SOAR Development Dinner and need your help! Do you have any ideas for a big ticket item we can raffle off at the event? In previous years, we have had a snowblower, a lawn mower, and a Kobalt tool cabinet.

But we want to keep things fresh!

If you have ideas, please let Mrs. Howard know.

We are in need of baskets/totes for silent auction items at the SOAR Dinner.

If you have any that are in good shape and you would like to get off your hands,

please drop them off at the school office. Thank you!

School News

We are in the process of planning our annual SOAR Development Dinner, which is on Saturday, November 23. It is sure to be a fun event. We rely solely on proceeds raised from our own fundraising, our parishioners, and the support of local businesses to continue our mission of Catholic education. Any help you can offer will greatly impact our efforts!

There are many ways that parishioners can help SOAR to be a success. One way is by contributing to the Eagle’s Nest. The Eagle’s Nest is a wall of envelopes where attendees make a donation and choose one of the many “eggs” in the “nest”.  Each contains one or more gift cards, the total amount of which is at least equal to the donation made. We have been reaching out to restaurants and businesses to ask for gift card donations, but we will require many more. We are asking that the next time you are out to eat or go shopping, you consider purchasing a gift card for any denomination and then donate it to the SOAR Dinner. (Note: You can also take advantage of our HOPE Certificates at Mass for these gift cards, too!) Please forward any type of donation to the school office by October 1st. Thanks for your support of SJS!
