Superstar Contest

Dress Down Days There is a Spirit Dress Down Day on Monday, 2/13.  And the 14th will be our usual Valentine’s Dress Down Day-students can be out of uniform if wearing something red, pink, or Valentine’s Day related.

Safe Environment Certification  If you need to take the Safe Environment training class St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish will be offering safe environment training on Monday, February 6th from 6:00-8:30 PM in the parish center.  Registration is taken on the Catholic Mutual website. Go to omaha.cmgconnect.org to create an account and to register. Keep a record of your login information.

Your registration fee includes:
– a 6’ round table to yourself
– lunch, snacks, supper, desserts and water/pop all day long (half day options include either lunch or supper)
– an entire day to work on your projects with no interruptions!!!

All day registration = $40
Half-day registration = $20
Early Bird discount = $5 off if registered by March 4th

Track Registration is Open Track at SJS is for 6th-8th boys and girls. Track practice runs in the evenings at Prep and/or Roncalli. Track meets are on Saturdays. There are typically 2 sessions with boys and girls meets running opposite of each other in morning and afternoon at area track facilities. Students can participate in up to 3 events at each meet depending on their participation in the track practices. Track has a head and assistant coach as well as individual event coaches, as well as a couple specialty volunteer slots. Please see below what needs filled, and consider taking part in this track season as a parent coach/volunteer. Email Sammie at sjsad17@gmail.com if you are interested in any of the following spots. We are happy to provide coach training to anyone interested, no experience necessary.

School Spirit Store The SJS Spirit store is NOW open! And a new design has been added! All orders will be processed once the online store closes on 2/19/23. Orders will be completed and delivered to school the week of 3/12. Please note that items purchased can only be worn on spirit dress down days or out of uniform days. Music Bingo  Click HERE to register and purchase tickets ahead of time to attend Music Bingo or stop by the school office to reserve your spot. Your $30 ticket purchase will include two hours of Music Bingo, dinner, and an open bar. Split the Pot and a Liquor Pull will also be available for purchase; cash preferred. The deadline for registration is February 24th. For volunteer opportunities visit iVolunteer.

Children’s Choir  Calling all students 2nd grade-high school to take part in a children’s choir during the 9:30am Mass at St. James Church on Sunday, March 19th.  Children are a vibrant part of our community at St. James and this is their way to take part in the upcoming capital campaign for our Parish Center.  They are our future leaders and music ministers so let’s start getting them involved now!

Girl Scout Dance  SJS Girl Scouts is happy to bring back the My Guy and I dance, open to all SJS families! We loved hosting these dances prior to COVID and are excited to bring this event back to enjoy a fun afternoon of dancing while supporting a great cause. See the flier for more details.
