  • Girls’ bangs are not to touch/cover the eyebrows. Long bangs are to be pinned back. No unnatural artificial hair coloring is allowed (this includes colored faux hair clips/inserts). No fake fingernails are permitted.

Cub Scouts  Interested in Cub Scouts?  Pack 380 wants to invite any interested boys and their families to our April pack meeting.  Any boy entering Kindergarten through 5th grade in the fall can join our pack, you don’t have to attend St. James/Seton school or have been in scouts previously to join. The meeting is Friday, April 21st starting at 7pm in the St. James/Seton Gym.  We are going to have the Omaha Percussion Group put on a live performance so please come and enjoy the show!  Come meet our leaders and see how much fun scouting can be!  If you have any questions, please contact Robert Klein at rklein18@cox.net or (402) 616-2087.

NestFest  Talk about SWEET success!  Stay up-to-date on all things Nest Fest via https://www.sjshsa.org/nest-fest-2023. We have now earned $10,660 and all SJS students, admin, teachers, and staff will receive a FREE NestFest t-shirt to be worn during our LIVE CandyLand game at our NestFest celebration.  Students have been earning extra recess all week! Thank you also to everyone who has been donating to our event through the donation of items, time, and talent. We couldn’t do this without you.

At least one of these SJS celebrities will be Ice Cream Sundae’d WHEN we reach $25,000 during our LIVE CandyLand game during NestFest:

  • Mrs. McElligott (Kdg); Mrs. Sullivan (2nd); Mrs. Walters (8th); Mrs. Richardson (1st); Mrs. Getz; Mrs. Asselin

A few key reminders:

  • Our next weekly Top Grade Level Earners will receive prizes on April 14
  • Our next All School Goal is $15,000 and students will receive a free dress down day. Maybe mention how SWEET it is at SJS (and NestFest) at your Easter celebrations this weekend. We are so blessed at SJS!

Uniform Shorts As of April 1st, students are able to wear uniform shorts. All uniform shorts for students in Grades 5-8 must have belt loops and a belt must be worn for those grade levels as well. You can visit the Dennis Uniform website if you have questions regarding uniform pieces. **The only shorts allowed on an out of uniform day are uniform shorts

Gilbride Scholarship  Final Reminder that the 2023 Rick Gilbride Scholarship Application are due this Friday, April 7th!!!!!!

Please visit the website below to apply. This is for one 8th grade boy and one 8th grade boy who have participated in athletics through SJSAA or the SJEAYSC, and are planning to continue their education at an Omaha-area Catholic High School. Please visit the athletic association website for information on how to submit your application:

Drop Off  Why not try the drop off lane?! There are two drop off options in the morning in front of the school and on Tomahawk. The 4th quarter is a good time to give your student some independence and let them walk into school themselves via the drop off lanes. Thanks for considering this option.
