NestFest What a great first week of Nest Fest! Thank you to all of the families that have already created their PledgeStar account and have been turning in Pledge forms. If you haven’t created your account yet, we encourage you to do so. It’s easy and has proven to be successful in helping us reach our goals. Stay up-to-date on all things Nest Fest via https://www.sjshsa.org/nest-fest-2023. A few key reminders and action items:
Student Council Raffle – Tuesday, April 4 and Wednesday, April 5
Student Council will be selling raffle tickets ($1 each) for students to be entered into a drawing to be “Coach Moose” during an upcoming PE class.
Cereal Box Challenge
We challenge you to bring in cereal boxes! Isn’t it fun to watch dominoes fall? Third grade has a way to help others and have some fun too! We are inviting each family or child to donate a full, unopened cereal box to the school. The third graders will set the boxes up like dominos outside and you can come watch the boxes fall. Our goal is 500 boxes that we will then donate to a local food bank. *Please bring boxes of cereal to 301 or 302 by April 4.
Uniform Shorts Students are able to wear uniform shorts starting on April 1st. All uniform shorts for students in Grades 5-8 must have belt loops and a belt must be worn for those grade levels as well. You can visit the Dennis Uniform website if you have questions regarding uniform pieces. **The only shorts allowed on an out of uniform day are uniform shorts.

Drop Off Why not try the drop off lane?! There are two drop off options in the morning in front of the school and on Tomahawk. The 4th quarter is a good time to give your student some independence and let them walk into school themselves via the drop off lanes. Thanks for considering this option.
Gilbride Scholarship Application The SJS Athletic Association is now accepting scholarship applications. $500 scholarship will be awarded to one 8th grade boy and one 8th grade girl who have participated in athletics through the SJSAA or the SJEAYSC, and will be continuing their education at an Omaha-area Catholic High School.
