Last call!!!  Terra Nova testing for the 2020-2021 school year will be available until Friday, September 3rd.  If you have not picked up your child’s forms you can pick them up in school office.

From the Counselor ~  Rainbows – Guiding Kids Through Life’s Storms  Rainbows is a peer support group for children who have suffered from a significant loss in their lives, whether by death, divorce or another painful transition.  The groups are facilitated by the school counselor.  To learn more and sign up see flyer.

Double Lunch ~ Starting Tuesday, August 31st students in grades 5-8 will be allowed to order doubles.  Double orders must be placed in the classroom with the lunch order in the morning.  If your student is running late lunch orders must be called in prior to 8:15 a.m. as we place our lunch order with Westside.

While school lunches will be free due to the Covid relief program established by the government any student taking a double lunch will be charged $1.50 for the double lunch.

SJS Life Runners ~ All 5th-8th grade students are welcome to join the SJS Life Runners club.  Life Runners at SJS love all people, take action to help others, have fun and are student-led.  We meet and wear our shirts to school (with uniform bottoms) every first Wednesday of the month starting at 7:10 a.m. to huddle up, pray, and take action. There is also an optional run after school on the first Wednesday of the month from 3:30-3:45 (members meet in 602 after school). To sign up, look at the attached flyer. We would like shirt orders in by Thursday, September 16th so we can (hopefully) get shirts in for the first Wednesday in October.
(You are welcome to join anytime! Your shirt will just arrive later if you miss the deadline!)

Eagle’s Wings – 8th Grade Thursday, September 9th.  Lunch for our SJS staff and support staff.  Easy way to volunteer – if you have a student in 8th grade go to iVolunteer @ https://stjamesseton.ivolunteer.com/event_236 and see what they may need for the lunch they are providing.

Dine out for SJS Night at Chipotle Wednesday, September 15th, 144th and Maple 4pm -8pm.  A percentage of the sales from the evening are donated back to St. James/Seton School

COVID ~ If your student is displaying any COVID symptoms,

we ask that you keep them home and consult your pediatrician.  Many of these symptoms are similar to the common cold, and we know this can be inconvenient, but it is best to err on the side of caution.  We simply want to do what we can to help this year go smoothly.

The St. James Little Flowers Girls Club is a fun catechetical program based on the spirituality of St. Therese of Lisieux for girls ages 5 and up.  See attached flyer for details and registration form to get signed up.

Little Women Hospitality Club is a fun after school program for girls in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade.  The club meets on the 4th Monday of the month from 3:15 to 4:30. See attached flyer for more information and to register!

The Warren Neuroscience Lab (WNL) is a research laboratory in the Department of Neurological Sciences at UNMC led by Dr. David E. Warren, PhD. They study memory, development, aging, Alzheimer’s disease, and brain networks by combining neuropsychological, neuroimaging, and neurostimulator methods.

Interested in Cub Scouts?  Pack 380 wants to invite any interested boys and their families to our Registration Carnival pack meeting.  Any boy in kindergarten through 5th grade is welcome to join our pack, you don’t have to attend St. James/Seton school or have been in scouts previously to join.
