SOAR News The homeroom that sells that most SOAR Raffle tickets will earn a pizza/movie party and dress down day. The homeroom in second place will receive a reward recess and dress down day. Each week every student that has turned in raffle tickets will be entered into a drawing to receive a fun prize at the end of the week! All tickets and money need to be returned by Friday, November 6th. You can also Venmo us: @SJS-Donations and we will fill out the tickets for you. Please spread the word to family and friends! Everyone wants to be $2,000 richer!!!
Temp Check As the weather gets colder, staff will begin taking temps at the entrances to the school. When possible we will be outside for temp checks. |

BOOK FAIR NEWS Just a reminder that our Fall Book Fair runs through October 28th. The proceeds from our Book Fairs provide funding for the library and in addition pays for our subscriptions to BookFlix and Scholastic Go (our online encyclopedia). The entire school benefits from these subscriptions. We graciously ask that if you normally shop our Book Fairs in person that you consider shopping online. It’s easy, safe, and books are shipped directly to your homes. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Center, 114th Fort St. Free Admission!!! There will be vendors with great gift ideas, door prizes, a bake sale, raffle, and more! Annual Coat Drive ~ The Fourth Grade is taking donations of clean, gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots. Donations will be taken from October 19-November 2. See flyer for details.

Reminder and Update for Trunk or Treat October 28th 7:00pm SEA Parking Lot: For those handing out candy, please plan for roughly 140 kids and make sure to arrive and setup your trunk by 6:45pm. When you arrive, we will direct you where to park in order to maintain plenty of space between cars/families. In order to spread out, we will be using more of the parking lot than past years. Please remember to bring a box or table to place your treats on in order to limit contact. For all attending, please remember your masks as they will be required to be worn during the event. We will bring extra masks for those that forget one as it will be required in order to participate. We are also requesting that families stay together during the event. In order to limit the number of attendees, we had to limit this year’s event to only SJS students so we request that families limit their social media posts regarding the event. We hope for the return of all normal procedures for Trunk or Treat next year and are glad to have those joining us this year. Happy Halloween!
