23 February Letter from Mr. Kelly

Thursday after Ash Wednesday
Dear SJS Catholic School Community,
Thank you to those who have already registered for next school year.  If you have not yet begun, Sycamore has made some tweaks to their platform that should make registration a bit smoother than in previous years.  If you have questions just contact the office.  If you have a new student, you will need a paper registration that you can receive by contacting the school office.  We don’t want you to lose your spot at SJS, so a prompt response is encouraged.
You will notice the end of the quarter is coming soon on March 10th.  So, there are only a few weeks left to make sure your student’s grades are where you want them to be.  It can be difficult in these winter months to keep the focus on school work and homework.  We appreciate your ongoing help and support.
There is always something going on at SJS.  The best way to stay in touch with everything is to read weekly Virtual Backpack as well as the Monday reminders.  Sycamore also has a variety of info that can help as well.  There is no school tomorrow and March 6th.
As you buy uniforms for next school year or the springtime, please remember all uniform items are to be purchased at a uniform store, or uniform section of a department store.  So pants, shirts, and shorts should be uniform pants, shirts, and shorts, not just the correct color.  Uniform clothing is cut and styled in such a way that makes it appropriate for our school setting.  And uniforms give off a silent message of solidarity and respect, and even minor violations of the policy can be subject to disciplinary action.  Thank you for your support.   It’s always best to check the Dennis Uniform site to see if what you are purchasing actually fits our school uniform expectations.  Thanks for all you do.

Peace,

William Kelly
Principal
