Jumping into Kindergarten If you are interested in a summer Jump Start into Kindergarten program here at SJS, led by our own Mrs. McElligott and Mrs. Ciecior, feel free to email dmcelligott@sjsomaha.org.  Your student will learn and review the skills needed for success in Kindergarten.  The program runs July 18th-22nd from 8:30-11:00.

SJS Football/Volleyball Camp For students in grades 4-8th, July 11th – July 14th from 1:00-3:00 p.m.  Check out flyer for details.

Monumental: Celebrating God’s Greatness  Vacation Bible Fun 2022: June 20th-24th 9:00 am to noon (M-Th) 9:00am to11am(Fri) at St. James /Seton School
● Any child entering Pre-K-4th grade in the Fall of 2022 are welcome to attend!
● Students entering 5th grade – 8th grade in the Fall of 2022 may apply to be a Student Aide in one of the VBF areas.
● Soon to be graduates, high school students, and adults are also needed as classroom teachers and area experts. No experience is necessary…all the materials and plenty of guidance are provided!
● Program will be Thursday at 6:30pm. All students will decorate a t-shirt (provided by parents) to wear at the program.
● Teachers, adult helpers, coordinators, & aides are asked to attend informational meeting on May 24th at 6:00pm/6:20pm at SEA

NESTFEST REWARD DAY EARNED:

VOLLEYBALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR FALL 2022
Register Here: https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/313974 In order to allow teams to begin practice by Aug. 1 of next season we must have registration complete before the end of the year. If your grade level has enough girls to have two teams (An A and a B) we will host tryouts before the end of this school year. Please register by May 6th. If your grade level needs a tryout you will be informed by May 8th. Please register your daughter in the grade they are going into next school year, not their current grade.

PS…. when choosing a uniform size please remember they run small and girls typically like to size up at least 1 size.

COVID Test Kits are available in the school office.  Simply contact the office if one will be helpful.

Dismissal Your student should go immediately to their ride after school.  We provide no supervision, and teachers have a variety of after school responsibilities to attend to, so students should go immediately to their vehicle after school.

Confirmation Receptions    April 22nd SJ – April 29th SEA – Receptions are being planned immediately following Confirmation Masses at both St. James and St. Elizabeth Ann. It is our hope that this tradition will continue, with the 6th and 7th grade families planning for the event and then being able to relax and enjoy the evening when their son or daughter is confirmed in 8th grade. 6th and 7th grade families – please sign up to either help serve/set up or for a monetary donation. Children’s Scholarship of Omaha is a nonprofit organization that funds scholarships to private schools.  There are requirements to apply and an application process.  We encourage you to pursue this opportunity as the finances would help the school.  We are asking all families that request financial assistance from SJS to start with the CSF process.  Continued support from SJS funds is contingent upon applying to CSF.  You can apply now, and the deadline is May 6th.
