Givetober is HERE! Let’s see what we can achieve as a school to make this event a success! Any contribution to the SOAR dinner in the form of a gift card, silent auction item, or monetary donation made by October 31st will help us to attain a $2,000 matching gift. We have raised $1,127 over the past week! A huge thanks to all of those who have participated in the giving so far. Ten more days to raise the remaining $873 and achieve that matching gift!

Good Neighbors It’s a goal for the school to be a good neighbor to those families who live near the school. Certainly, living near an elementary school can have its share of challenges. Please have patience and understanding as you park and interact in the neighborhood. We want to demonstrate the Catholic values that run through the SJS community. MCS Nine 5th Grade SJS Band students participated in the Music in Catholic Schools Beginning Band Olympics on Tuesday, October 18th. All did well competing against and playing with 25 other schools. Top performers included Tyler List (5th Grade) winning the Silver Medal for all trombone players and Jack Davis (5th Grade) winning the Gold Medal as the top saxophone player.
SJS Boutique will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton on November 5th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Check out iVolunteer at for ways to volunteer.
Team Mates is a mentoring program that matches mentors with mentees. Mentors meet with students once a week during lunch/recess. The mission is to positively impact students to reach their full potential through mentoring. If you think your student would benefit from this program reach out to our counselor Miss Ali Cox at acox@sjsomaha.org. Also, if you are interested in becoming a Mentor yourself, please feel free to contact Miss Cox with any questions about how to get involved.
