Parent Participation Hours
Looking for a way to get your volunteer hours in?  Cafeteria volunteer responsibilities include scraping, rinsing, washing, and restocking the trays.

SOAR is still in need of high school and college aged students to work the St. James/Seton School SOAR Development Dinner on November 20th at Creighton Prep High School.

Volunteer needs include: wait staff, check-in/registration/check-out volunteers, raffle ticket sales people. It would be nice to have SJS alumni, but we are grateful for any student that wants to be involved. There is also options for guests attending the event to stay and help clean after or help with check-out following the live auction. Please contact thoward@sjsomaha.org or sign up directly on iVolunteer. Any help is appreciated!  https://stjamesseton.ivolunteer.com/event_241

Congratulations
Great job to our Junior High and Ms. Pohlman for their work with our Veteran’s Day program.  COVID guided us to a virtual performance this year, and we appreciate all the time and effort that went into this new venture.  Way to go SJS!

Have you started your Christmas Shopping yet???
If you’re doing any shopping on your Amazon Prime account, be sure to turn on AmazonSmile in order for SJS to get a kickback on eligible items!!

Activate AmazonSmile on the ALL the different devices you shop on, because it does not “sync” with your account automatically!

Already using AmazonSmile?? Great!! But DOUBLE CHECK that it is CURRENTLY ACTIVE and set for SJS! AmazonSmile “renews” twice a year, which means you have to reassign the organization you wish to support every six months.

TURNING ON AMAZON SMILE:  In the app…
1) Go to the main menu
2) Find “Settings”
3) Tap on AmazonSmile
4) follow on screen instructions
5) search for “St. James Catholic Church and St. James/Seton School of Omaha” and choose as charity
On the web…
1) Go to, smile.amazon.com
2) search for “St. James Catholic Church and St. James/Seton School of Omaha” and choose as charity
3) create a bookmark to keep this as your shopping option!

Thanks for supporting SJS!  HAPPY SHOPPING!!

H&S Paint & Sip
Give your family a fun activity to do together over Winter break! We are partnering again this year with Ms. Jenny at Heart & Soul Art Studio to offer a virtual paint class complete with a paint kit! Each kit includes the supplies needed to complete the project including one canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, palette and paper towel. You’ll also receive a packet of cocoa to sip while you work. Step by step instruction is provided on the video tutorials. This is a great way to support our school and a fun activity to pass the time on our long break. It’s also a unique gift idea, great for a family night, mom’s night or for a group of friends to do together. Go to www.heartandsoulartstudio.com to register and select which painting option you would like. A portion of the funds raised will go back to Home & School, so spread the word to friends and family members to join in the fun! Registration will open November 21st and close on December 3rd. Pick up will be December 13th after school. More information will follow with pick up details. Video links will be emailed on the day of pick-up.
