Music Position

We will be looking for someone to play music at school Masses next year.

If you know anyone who would be interested please contact the school office.




SJS altar servers and parents, please note that some school Masses and some weekend Masses at St. James now will have 3 servers instead of 4. Training will be mandatory for new servers and optional for current servers. This applies to SEA parishioners who serve at school Masses and to St. James parishioners who serve at school and/or weekend Masses. New servers are required to attend only one session but are welcome to attend more than one, all held at St. James Church:

Saturday, May 13, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Saturday, May 20, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 21, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Thursday, May 25, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

~Home and School Positions for 2017 School Year

We are looking to fill a couple of positions for the new school year. Here is a description of what each position entails. If you are interested please contact HSA President, Crystal Anderson,


Vice President - Duties of the Vice President include, but are not limited to:

1)      Assist the President in overseeing the HSA.

2)      Take the lead at meetings of the HSA in the absence of the President.

3)      Serves as ex-officio member of all standing committees.

4)      Shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President or by the Executive Committee.


~ HOPE NEWS  Please note that the HOPE OFFICE will be CLOSED from

Monday, May 29th – Wednesday June 21st.  HOPE physical scrip cards can be purchase at the both the Parish Offices (SJ/SEA) during office hours 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.  

Reloads & Scripnow!  Can be purchase if you pay on line with SWS and released immediately.  Otherwise the order will be release after June 21st only.

Please plan ahead and get your cards for the summer.

The form says the due date to enter is 5/12, but there are a few spots still open in each of the Summer Art Camps (Paint Camp & Clay Camp). If you'd still like to sign up, you still can! Just send in the form and payment to the school office for Mrs. Smith. (provide link to form)

~SJS Athletics Need to find some ways to volunteer and meet the new parent volunteer commitment for the 2017-2018 school year?

St. James / Seton Athletic Association is looking for new board members! 

What is the SJS Athletic Association?

We are a self-funded parent organization which sponsors the following competitive programs for St. James / Seton: Volleyball, Football, Basketball, and Track.  Our teams are competitive and play in the Parochial Athletic League.  The Athletic Association also sponsors the annual Spring Fling, a dinner/auction fund-raiser to support the financial necessities of athletics

What does the board do?

The Athletic Association Board manages all of aspects of the sports programs we support including registration, uniforms, coaching staff, referees, evaluations, and procurement of gym time and space. Board members attend one meeting a month and provide gym supervisor presence at games as needed.  Board members also assist with the planning of the Spring Fling Fundraiser and other activities on an ongoing basis.  Board members are dedicated volunteers who believe in providing an athletic structure that teaches the fundamentals of sports along with sportsmanship and Christian values.

How do I join?

All parents are welcome no matter what grade your child is in.  Attend our first meeting of the school year in August.  Dates will be posted on our website at

~ SJS Vacation Bible Fun Registration is due MONDAY MAY 22nd for Vacation Bible Fun (June 19-23)!  The theme for Vacation Bible Fun this year is Maker Fun Factory: Created by God Built for a Purpose. We will explore how God made you, is for you, is always with you, will always love you, and made you for a reason. ~ TOTUS TUUS at SEA - July 17-21

Totus Tuus is a Latin expression meaning "totally yours." It is also the name of a fun and energetic parish-based summer catechetical program for both grade school age children and junior and senior high school youth.  College students and seminarians form teams of four and sent out to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in various parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Omaha.  Registrations forms can be found in the church foyers and are attached here:
