Congratulations to the following students in grades 5-8 who have their art on display at the Annual Duchesne Academy Art Show! Their art will be on display at Duchesne from March 20-April 11. There will be an awards ceremony on April 11 at 5pm. Friends and family are invited to attend - and everyone is invited to view the art during March-April. Congratulations to the 6th grade Math Team for finishing first place in the 2017 Brownell Talbot Math Contest. Our students worked very hard preparing for this very challenging city-wide contest. Team members are Steve Avalos, Lucy Euteneur, Sean Fenoglio, Jack Gillogly, Nile Langenfeld, Lily Maxwell, Adam Ramasute, Grant Wagner, and Ashley Walsh. Great job, team!
~Help Needed Confirmation Celebration!!
6th and 7th Grade families needed
Receptions are being planned immediately following Confirmation Masses at both St. James and St. Elizabeth Ann. The parish centers will be decorated and refreshments will be provided for the newly confirmed and their guests.
It is our hope that this tradition will continue, with the 6th and 7th grade families planning for the event and then being able to relax and enjoy the evening when their son or daughter is confirmed in 8th grade.
We are in need of families to donate baked goods, serve, and clean up after the event.
This is a wonderful way to ‘pay it forward’ as the students are preparing for their own Confirmation!

~Marian High School is hosting a Trivia Night for 7th grade girls on Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 7 to 9 p.m.
There is no need to form a team ahead of time; girls will be randomly divided into teams with fun and creative themes! The trivia will consist heavily of pop culture questions—movies, music, books, tv shows, etc. Awesome prizes for the top three teams and concession prizes for everyone who participates. Snacks and dessert provided.

~Schwers Family Fundraiser As most of you know Alex (former SJS student) and Lauren (current SJS 5th grader) Schwers dad, Roger, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in his blood. There is a go fund me page that has been setup for the family if you are interested in helping.
There will be a fundraiser on April 8th as well. We need help for bake sale items and working the event. I will post the links to those pages below. We would really appreciate if everyone could save the date for the evening of Saturday April 8th. We are in the process of organizing a fundraising dinner for the Schwers family which will take place in the St. James gym. There will be auction items at the dinner so if you know of a business that would be willing to donate please contact me for a donation form.
