~SJS Athletics need 5 more orders to meet our minimum order of 12.  We have extended the order deadline to December 4th.  This will be the absolute last day orders will be accepted.  You can find all selections and order by going to the following link:

~SJS Home and School will be selling SaveAround coupon books following masses THIS WEEKEND at SEA and SJ!  The books will be available for $25.00 with half going back to Home & School.  An app is also included with every book. The Home & School is focusing on improving signage around the school, aiding in technology projects, and recruitment materials. These make a great gifts for anyone! Questions please contact Crystal Anderson, 402-278-2311

Home and School Meeting

Wednesday, December 7th at 7:00pm at the SEA Parish Center

We will be discussing up-coming Home and School events, Catholic Schools week and parent speakers.

All are welcome.


 5th Grade Eagles Wings Luncheon Dec 14th

Lunch for our SJS staff and support staff.

Easy way to volunteer – if you have a student in 5th grade go to iVolunteer and see what they may need for the lunch they are providing.


Christmas Cookies for our neighbors

Drop off will be December 20th - 21st  

Assembly and delivery will be on the 21st

~SAINT NICHOLAS FOOD DRIVE: The SJS Junior High Student Senate is coordinating a food drive from November 29 until December 6 (the feast of Saint Nicholas). Donations of any non-perishable food items are welcome, but there is a special need for boxed cereal and boxed macaroni-and-cheese. Food will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House and St. Vincent DePaul Society. Our school-wide goal is 2,680 items (approximately five items per student). Please follow in the spirit of Saint Nicholas and give generously! Contact Mr. Westra for more information:

~ Village Inn Forget to get your pie certificate?  Well you are in luck.  There are still certificate available.  See flyer  and turn in your order.  Certificates will be sent home with students same day or you can stop in office and get yours now!  SJS will receive $1.50 for each pie card sold.


~ HyVee Cash for Students Keep sending in your receipts dated 9/1/16-12/31/16.  Don’t forget to tell your friends and family to collect too.  We are currently at $75,235.99.

~SAVE THE DATE for our next SJS Crafting day sponsored by home and school!!!  Whatever craft you have, come and join us Saturday, February 11 from 9am to 10pm at the SEA parish center.  Or there are half day options to accommodate your busy schedule.  You get your own 6’ round table, lunch and/or dinner, snacks and prizes throughout the day.  Even if you have to leave for a while for another commitment, your things will be safe at your table while you’re gone.  Registration forms are available here, or email Jen at for more information or a registration form.  Registrations received by January 18 get $5 off!!
