Many of you all might remember from last year the prayers and help we asked for Sydney Gatzemeyer.  Sydney currently is one of our kindergarten students.  We are asking for prayers for her and her family at this time.  Sydney is back at St. Jude’s in Memphis, Tennessee for more treatment.   This treatment will run through the holidays.  As always, we ask that you respect the confidentiality of these circumstances for Sydney and her family, but prayers for health and recovery are indeed appreciated.

“When my arms can’t reach people who are close to my heart

I always hug them with my prayers…”

Do you love serving children?  Are you looking for a little extra spending money?  Do you look good in a hair net?  If you answered yes to any of the above questions you might be the candidate we are looking for.

We have an opening for a part-time person to help with the School lunch program at SJS.  Meals are prepared by Westside School and delivered each morning so cooking skills aren’t needed.

Our typical day includes warming the food, serving the children and cleaning up after meals.  Our normal work hours are from 10:00-2 so it is perfect for parents of SJS students or retirees.

Successful candidates should be able to

-Lift a minimum of 20 lbs.

-Be on your feet consecutively for 4 hours.

-Work cooperatively with others.

-Follow direction and work as a member of a team.

If you are interested in this great opportunity, get an application from the office at St. James/Seton Catholic School.
