Fall Fundraiser Update:

The dress down day/pizza party for those students/families who sold 30 or more items or donated the designated amount will be held on Monday, Oct 24th during regular lunch periods.


The dog tags for all students who sold at least 10 items have arrived. They will be distributed at school to each qualifying student.


As a thank you for our continued business and high sales level, Cherrydale has added an additional prize for any student that sold over 25 items. There will be envelopes with cash prizes for each qualifying student at the payment table during delivery day pick up.  The cash prizes are as follows: $25 for 25-39 items, $40 for 40-59 items and $60 for 60 or more items.


A report with final results will be published when all totals and information are available.

~H&S Spirit Store item delivery is on October 21st.


~Halloween Parade Please join us for a Halloween costume parade on Monday, October 31st at 2:45 P.M. The students from grades Pre-K through Third Grade will parade through the school and outside in front of the school in their costumes. If you would like to see the parade, you are welcome to line up around the circle out front. The students will parade by, and then will return to their classrooms to gather their things before the end of the day. We hope that you can join us, it is sure to be a fun time! 


~Parent/Teacher Conference Food for our faculty:

Do you ever wish you had more time to volunteer at school, but can’t find a spare minute in your hectic schedule?  Here is the perfect opportunity for you!  Parents are coordinating food and beverage donations for the upcoming parent teacher conferences and we need your help!  As you already know, our kids have half days on October 25th and October 27th, but the faculty will be there well into the evening hours conducting conferences.  For their dedication and hard work, we are providing the staff with a warm meal on Tuesday, November 4th, as well as grab bags that we will assemble in advance if the teachers don't even have a spare moment to eat.  All of this information can be found on ivolunteer under the Home and School tab (, then scroll down to Donations for Conferences. Thank you for your generosity and support of our amazing faculty at St. James Seton.

~Trunk or Treat For those participating in the Trunk or Treat plan treats for 75 ghouls.  Don’t forget to decorate your car for the trunk or treaters to visit.  Just a reminder all ghouls must be accompanied by an adult.  Thanks

~SJS Volunteer There are new opportunities to volunteer being added to iVolunteer weekly.  Check out all the areas that you can use your talents to help SJS @  It is thanks to our volunteers that our school runs so smoothly.


~Spartan Nash (Family Fare) is sponsoring “Direct Your Dollars” program.  SJS will be collecting Family Fare cash register receipts through the school year.  Spartan Nash will donate $1,000 for every $150,000 receipts we collect.  Start collecting those receipts and be sure to tell your family and friends to collect too!

~SEA Fall Boutique The SEA Fall Boutique is Sat. Nov. 5 - just over 3 weeks! The proceeds support the school and both parishes. Last year almost $1500 went to SJS (via Home and School) and almost $500 went to our parishes.

Your help and support is needed to make this event successful. Please see iVolunteer

to see the many ways you  and our students can contribute.

~SJS Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a trip to Wenninghoff Farms for Halloween on October 23rd from 4:00-6:00 p.m. (rain date October 30th).  Admission will be paid for kids up to 5th grade and their parents.  Check out the flyer @ for details on how to get your tickets.
