Our Annual Coat Drive is October 15-19

*Sponsored by the SJS Fourth Grade Class*

Clean out your closets and donate your clean and gently used coats, hats, and mittens!  They will be sent to the St. Vincent De Paul Society for their coat give away in November.  Donations can be dropped in the collection boxes at SJS during school hours.  Thank You!!

Product Partners turn in

- If you did not turn in your product partners collection bag today, please turn it in to the collection basket at either parish this weekend, or send it to school on Monday.  This bag is for turning in all Box Tops, Our Family labels, Family Fare receipts, Hy Vee receipts (dated Sept. 1 - Dec. 31), and Tyson labels.  Please be sure to fill in the homeroom number of the child you would like your bag returned to.  If you have any questions, please contact Jen at jeremyjenlist@cox.net.  Thank you for supporting SJS!!!

To purchase tickets, please visit our online auction website: http://bidpal.net/soar2018. Dinner tickets should be purchased by November 9th. On this site you can also donate and bid online whether or not you attend. Online bidding will open in early November.

  • Families willing to sell raffle tickets after masses in November at both parishes.
  • Setup/cleanup.

October Home and School Happenings

October has a scary amount of events going on and we would love to have you join us!

 

 

Product Partner Turn In

Fall Craft Day - October 6th

Whatever craft you have, come and join us at the SEA parish center 9am-10pm.  Or there are half day options to accommodate your busy schedule. Email Jen atjeremyjenlist@cox.net for more information or a registration form. There are a few spots open for both students and adults to assist with this.

Parent Teacher Conference Meals - October 25th

Thursday, October 25th - HSA will supply meals for the teachers during conferences. Check out iVolunteer to see how you can help.  

 

Parent Speaker - Smart Girl Society

Tuesday, October 30th at 7pm atSJ Media Center. Nursery offered in St. James Nursery (iVolunteer opportunities). Come learn about your child’s technology.

 

Halloween Party

Home and School Meeting

Wednesday, November 7th at 7:00pm at the SEA Parish Center

This is a great opportunity to learn what Home and School is all about!

The SEA Fall Boutique will be here before you know it!  Plan to come on Saturday, November 3 between 9am-3pm to shop our vendor booths, stay for lunch at our concession stand, and grab a sweet treat from our bake sale!  See the attached flyer for all the details.  And if you can print it out and hang it up at your work or a business, please do to help us advertise!!  The more shoppers we have, the more it helps the school!!

Also, if you have a home or business in a popular and visible location where you could put up a yard sign to advertise, please email us at seafallboutique@gmail.com and we will get a sign to you.  Thanks for your help!!

SJS Annual Trunt or Treat will take place Wednesday, October 24th @ 7:00 p.m. in SEA parking lot.  Trunk or Treat is for students in grades PS thru 6th. The best decorated trunk will win a $50 Marcus giftcard.  See flyers for details on how to rsvp.

Parent Coffee - Oct. 17, 8:00 - 8:45 a.m. at Scooter's Coffee - 102 & Maple

Marian President Mary Higgins invites St. James/Seton parents to join her for coffee and conversation. Learn more about Marian: academics, clubs, activities, athletics, fine arts, service and more. Come enjoy a free cup of coffee and good conversation!

 

Do you know of a company changing their letterhead?  Do you know of a source that has paper clean on one side.  SJS School would love to take it off their hands!  Contact the school office for donations.
