Lunch Program Update
St. James/Seton Lunch Program
Welcome back and welcome to new families! This year we are offering a daily option to the planned entrée. Your student will be able to choose yogurt and a cheese stick in place of the featured meat/meat alternate for the day. The remaining meal components of bread, fruit, vegetable and milk will be offered with this option completing the meal. Each student buying a school lunch will still be required to make a fruit or vegetable choice. We hope that your students will enjoy being able to make an alternate entrée choice. A count of those wanting the yogurt/cheese stick option will be taken each morning in the classroom with the school lunch meal count.
Unfortunately, due to rising costs of food and fuel we are making a meal price increase. Lunch will cost $2.70. Milk will be sold to those bringing lunch from home or those wanting a second carton of milk for 40 cents. Lunches for adults will be priced at $3.25.
As always, you are encouraged, if you qualify, to apply for reduced or free lunch. This is a confidential process where neither teachers nor other students are aware of who is participating in the program and it can help alleviate some of your weekly expenses.
If you have any questions or concerns please call the school office and we will direct your question to the person who can answer it.
